Angay is an accomplished Radio Jockey having worked as one for over 15 years, in India, the US & Canada. She started her RJ'ing with All India Radio (AIR) Chennai FM Rainbow, where she enthralled her listeners with great content & music. Her shows were consistently ranked one of the most popular shows on radio in the city of Chennai. She has gone on to work for 8K Radio in the US & Chennai Radio in Canada since moving to North America.
Angay's prowess as an RJ brought her in touch with the who's who of the cultural scene in Chennai. Her notable interviews of public figures include Director K. Balachander, K. Bhagyaraj, Naresh Gupta (ex-IAS Officer), Dr. Kamala Selvaraj, Dr. Prabhu Thilaak, S. Ve. Sekhar to name a few.
Angay as TV News Anchor
Angay's success as a Radio Jockey soon paved the way for her entry into the TV screens as well!
Angay's phenomenal command over the spoken language (she straddles Tamil & English with consummate ease!) combined with excellent interpersonal skills quickly landed her News Anchor roles with some of the leading news channels in South India. She went on to anchor news for Puthiya Thalaimurai, NDTV Hindu & Polimer News, appearing on morning prime time!
In addition, Angay has also hosted a TV show which aired on Vasanth TV and went on to do many voice-over gigs.
